Philadelphia Museum of Art | Contemporary Craft Show 2019

The 44th Annual, Philadelphia Museum of Art contemporary art show has hosted Israeli 23 Israeli artist to participate at the show. Thanks to the support of AIDA (Association of Israel’s Decorative Arts). AIDA’s mission is to foster the development of contemporary decorative artists from Israel by connecting them to an international audience of galleries, institutions and collectors.

This premier show and sale of contemporary craft and design includes 150 of the finest and most dynamic craft artists in the United States, selected from more than 600 applicants. All work is for sale.

The collection that Maiyan Ben Yona presented at the show was a range of vessels and pieces, from decorative to functional pieces, with an emphasis on processing and working with the material clay. Her work is centered on exploration and learning different ways to work with clay. The combining and integration of different forms, colors and textures, and the quality of the material that is created, fascinate Maiyan and is the driving force in her work.
